Debra L. Alexander, O.D.
Dr. Debra Alexander received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California at Berkeley. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Optics from the University of California at Berkeley as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Dr. Alexander is a past president of the South Bay Optometric Society and was awarded Young Optometrist of the Year by the California Optometric Association. She has served on several optometric committees at both the state and local level.
Dr. Alexander has practiced in Torrance for over 20 years and has extensive experience in primary optometric care, medical management of eye diseases, contact lenses and refractive surgery co-management. Dr. Alexander takes care of patients of all ages and especially enjoys working with children.
Dr. Alexander is a native of Torrance and graduated from West High School. She currently lives in Palos Verdes with her husband, Ken, and two children, Lauren and Ryan. In her free time, Dr. Alexander is very active at local schools as well as scouting and sports activities. Dr. Alexander is also a loyal Cal fan. Go Bears!
She is caring, personable, and shows a genuine interest her patients’ lives. She is great working with children too.
