Dat T. Do, O.D.

Dr. Dat T. Do has been dedicated to serving the Los Angeles/Orange County area for 10 years. In addition to his optometric degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, he did an additional fellowship year in ocular pathology and refractive surgery at the Omni Eye Services. His broad optometric experience includes his current position as a Clinical Adjunct Professor at Southern California College of Optometry. Prior to joining Torrance Optometry, Dr. Do was the Clinical Director at the TLC Laser Eye Center (formerly Pacific Laser Eye Center) and a Clinical Instructor at Omni Eye Services. He is a member of the American Academy of Optometry AAO and regularly contributes to various AAO-sponsored eye care journals and presentations and lectured in the area of co-management of refractive surgery, glaucoma and dry eye. Dr. Do is credentialed to treat glaucoma.

Aside from regular optometric duties, Dr. Do has been involved in volunteering eye care in Peru and Vietnam. In his spare time, he enjoys water skiing, snowboarding, rock climbing and training for the marathons. Currently he is involved in raising assistance dogs for Canine Companion for Independence.

His service and care is above and beyond the average optometrist…He consistently takes time to see me around my busy schedule and I always leave feeling confident I received the utmost service and specialized attention. Dr. Do rocks!

I have taken my disabled brother, who is deaf mute, autistic and has mental retardation, to Dr. Dat Do for the past several years. Dr. Do is so kind, thoughtful and patient with my brother. He takes time to help us understand the challenges my brother faces with his diabetes and how it is affecting his sight. The staff that prepares the patients to see the doctor are also very kind and understanding with my brother. I have referred several family and friends to their office and they have been very satisfied as well. I highly recommend this office!
